Carol Bryant is an experienced communicator, journalist, English and math teacher, professional writer, and grant writer in Grand Island, Nebraska. Her love for writing and literature began as a child and developed because of excellent teachers in Grand Island, Hastings College, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Carol was the editor for her high school’s newspaper and worked as a reporter, copy editor, and city editor at the Grand Island Independent. While completing her master’s degree in journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she wrote a biography and master’s degree thesis about Milan Bish. Mr. Bish, also a Grand Island resident and Hastings College graduate, served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Eastern Caribbean during the Grenada intervention.

Bryant received the Hitchcock Fellowship from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This fellowship is awarded to a top student enrolled in the master’s degree program in journalism and mass communications. A link to the news release is below:
